most sticks don't need extra drivers, they usually just plug-in (before you start x-plane) and then go to the joystick set screen in x-plane and assign things and then calibrate, and close. If you swap other USB stuff a lot, this may affect the assignment in x-plane.
Sidewinder Precision 2 Joystick Drivers For Mac
Microsoft SideWinder Precision 2: This is the ONLY version of Microsoft SideWinder 4.0 Game Controller Software that will work with, and provide full button programmability for, Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 Joystick. No other Sidewinder 4.0 software (such as one for Force Feedback, Gamepad or Racing wheel) will work.MS Sidewinder Precision 2 is a great joystick, but, as I am sure you know since you are here, there is no way to get the software for it if you lose the original CD, like I did. Microsoft does not post it.While XP recognizes Sidewinder precision 2 on its own, it provides no way to assign any functions to the buttons. You need to install this software to do that. Do not bother downloading any other versions of Sidewinder 4.0 software. It is decieving in a way See Morethat not all 4.0 software is the same. They are taylored to specific joysticks, and ONLY the 4.0 software for precision 2, such as this one, will work. I know that for a fact from personal experience. This software will defintely work on all flavours of Windows 98, ME and XP. I run it on XP and 98. Most likely will work on NT and 2000 as well.See Less
From what I understand from other people with this joystick, it should just work when you plug it in. Logitech also doesn't offer drivers for the mac because they say it should be recognized. When I go to setup my input preferences in ksp nothing happens. I go to move the joystick, and it's still waiting for input. It also doesn't recognize the buttons. 076b4e4f54
